misused descriptions that irritate or annoy you

I hear people misusing terms in ways that make me thing they don't understand the term they're using. As an example I am seeing people selling USED old parts as NOS, as if used in good condition is the same as NEW old stock. Another is selling a bike that is in "mint" condition. who has something to add to the list? I'm guessing I missed a few.

My loss...your gain.
I agree that in some instances its genuine but the reality is that if you really cared you wouldn't have to "loose" it...and then to admit its someone else's gain? I'm sorry, its a bunch of ****....it should say: "I'm getting rid of this piece of ****...please add this piece of **** to your collection of **** and pay me just a little cheaper than what I'm listing it for".

" Life has a tendency of ****ing things up when you finally get happy "

Low miles = My friends all got boats right after I bought it.

Runs = just barely

Sorted = I've been in the engine 3 times and it's time for someone else to fool with it.

New gaskets = I started tearing it apart and got scared so I put it back together

Mint = It's used as a coat rack. My kids used to be proud of my $60,000 chopper but are tired of eating ramen noodles.

Never call a woman the B word. Call them BEAUTIFUL instead.. Bitches LOVE to be called beautiful!!!

My biggest, BY FAR, is "invested." As in, "Lots of chrome. Over $30,000 invested."

An investment implies a return. What I really wish they would say is:

"I spent $12,000 on stuff that does absolutely nothing to improve the durability, rideability or performance of this motorcyle. But man, it's shiny! Now, I want to start over again doing it to a new one, and I'd like to get at least some of my money back because my wife is pretty pissed about it already."

"low miles" or "low mileage"

Just state how many damn miles in the ad.

It takes the same number of characters in an ad to put "12K miles". Don't make me have to call you up to ask how many miles and you say "75,000 miles". I say "WTF?" and you say "well that's low miles for a 12 year old bike." I hang up the phone.

recent rebuild: If ya just spent the money to rebuild it whats broken now that you wanna sell it to me? And just how many miles years ago was recent.
New tires,Brakes etc: Why would you put money into something ur gonna sell? Tires worn out from underinflation and poor care,or it just shredded at the last burnout contest?

I also love the ads that say "new clutch" and the bike has 8K miles.

Among my many rules when buying a used bike" Don't buy from a young guy. (Because I know how I rode when I was a young idiot. )
