Need me some boots
Can anyone recommend an American made, cowboy boot style boot that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Obviously quality is important. I know there are existing threads on this, but I'm looking for fresh opinions. Thanks in advance.

Quit pandering, Mike. Beer isn't the only thing I like.
AND, now I'm at work and thinking about beer! Thanks a lot.

Holy shit, guys! This is good stuff and I'm cracking up.
At some point I'm hoping to actually score some new boots, though. Hook. Me. Up.

I got a pair of these a few months ago in brown leather vs. the black. Pretty basic but comfortable and didn't cost a lot compared to boots around here.

These guys travel around Canada and set up in hotels to sell their stuff. Most prices are negotiable. I bought my leather jacket from them too last year.

Red wing has always made the best boots IMO- but like everything else- watch out which ones you buy- some of there"styles" ain't made in MN no more- I hear people talking alot about HD boots, although I've never found a pair to fit right- or cowboy boots for that matter.
Yer in Illinois, check out farm and fleet or tractor supply co, they got a lot of styles- good red wings are going for 250+ now- Damn!!
Bought a pinto when I was 15 for 50 buck- it came with plates, new Montgomery snow tires and full tank of Gas! Boots? 125 a foot, Damn

You want rubber soles or leather soles?
It scares the shizzle out of me to ride in my leather-soled boots. I have just about dumped it more than once because they're too slick.
I wear a workboot style boot a lot of the time, but I have also been looking for a clean-looking slip-on boot with rubber soles that I can ride in safelty, but they look good enough to wear around at work without me having to change shoes when I get here.
So, I say all that just to say I am interested as well.
I like these. Decent price. I don't know a whole lot about the brand:
