Cat Urine and Tires
Just caught a cat urinating (spraying) my bike's front tire in the parking lot at work . I immediately washed it off. Just curious though, other than the smell, will cat urine harm motorcycle tires?

Considering all the stuff we drive through every day I can't imagine it would. My cat's box is made of rubber and has been around for over 10 years.

No. Urine is made of urea, chloride, sodium, potassium and creatinine.
None of which are harmful to rubber products.
Might be cheaper than Tire Shine, though..........

Well...that's good to know. Thanks Dave.
Any ideas how to keep the damn critter from making a habit out spraying my bike. I don't want to keep having to wash off my tires every morning.

Tie a dead cat the left fork leg.
Seriously, just wash the tires really good. Cat's spray to mark teritory, or to cover another animal's scent.
Likely, he may not be the first cat to do it. He just smelled another cat....

It won't hurt the tires, but it will corrode metal if not washed off.
