Should I Be Concerned?

Here's the deal,
I have a 2013 Sportster on order (custom build) in which I ordered on 10/9/2012. ...Sizable down payment.
A couple of weeks ago I was told of a 11/13/2012 delivery date (they couldn't say if that was leaving the factory or arriving at the dealer).

Yesterday I find out my H-D (and Jap brands too) dealer is closing their doors.

I ask, closing at the end of November?
The GM says maybe, or possibly closing in two weeks (mid Nov), He's not sure.

I ask how that will affect me receiving my bike and he does not know and won't even verify my delivery date now.
It could go to a sister shop (same owner) 200+ miles away.
Will my bike have a destination to go to? Will it get held at the factory?
Nice timing...

I do have a vin # which I understand means that H-D has accepted to build.

Not sure how to move on this...

Ideas?

Edit: I was not told of the dealership closing when ordering or notified of them closing. I just happened to walk in & hear of the news.

That's a new one on me. I guess my suggestion would be to get on the phone to HD Customer Service first thing Monday morning, armed with the VIN, explain the situation and see what they can tell you.

in Australia we have a government agency called fairtrading, if you have a similar agency in the states I would also contact them.

Well that just sucks!

First thing I'd do is get my heated breath ALL OVER the yo-yos at the dealership. Then go from there. That's kind o' BS...

I would be freaking out. the dealer has/had your "sizeable deposit" I would be all over this talking to the manager/owner of the dealership and HD customer service as well

Dude, I'd be at the dealer first thing Monday morning (work can wait) and not leave until I had an answer or My money. Bring the receipt, cause the cops will be called.

I think I would get on the phone with Harley Davidson Customer Service direct and tell them what is going on. If the dealership is closing that location, but has another one, they are still a going concern. I think HD will have some leverage to make sure you are taken care of. I would also make damn sure they deliver the bike to your location and not make you make a 200 mile trip to pick your new bike up.
