Misplaced Trust

2 months ago another member of this forum posted that he was in dire need of an extended brake pedal as his was the older short style and he was having problems. I replied that I had one that may fit his ride, sent him the part numbers and he replied that he wanted it. So, being the trusting one that I was, I sent him an email stating that I would send it out immediately with my name, address, phone number in the box and if it did fit, he could send me the payment and postage (approximately 50% of what I paid for it, but I wasn't using it) if it didn't, please send it back.
To date I have not received payment, nor will he respond to my emails, so I guess that I trusted the wrong Harley rider. Hell, if he had told me that he was having tough times I probably would have given it to him, but that was not discussed. He gave me indications that he would pay for it. Won't happen again. Too bad guys like this spoil things in our dealings with one another.

I can't find any posts, but I am getting the emails sent to me. Can't make any promises but I'll do what I can.

Lou is handling it the right way. Looks like the guy only had 29 posts total and has not logged in since 9/9. Could be a deadbeat, could be in a horrible accident... hold the stones until we know for sure.
