If its a FLH be careful pushing , they are heavy suckers, oops over it goes, I jumped started mine cuz I left the ignition turned to the right, duh!

Mine died once because the connector to the regulator came undone just enough to not charge the batt anymore. It's always fun when the power goes out and the bike dies while ridding on the freeway.

If you don't get in more riding this year, you'll be a year older next year.

Gads, I hope I never have to push start my Sporty. 62 w/steel right hip and 12" apes on bike.

2005 XL1200C Vance & Hines Staggered Short Stacks w/QQ Thunder Monster Baffles, D & M chrome spike air cleaner, 48, 185 jets, 12" Burly's, Mustang Cyclone solo seat, Progressive 412 shocks.

2009 FXSTC Vance & Hines Big Radius, V&H air filter, 16" RSD King Apes w/1 1\2" risers and 1 1/2" riser extensions, Progressive 422 shocks, Corbin seat.

We ran into this last year in Iowa and had to wait 2 hours for our guys ride to charge. Tried to push and pop the clutch but to no avail. Now I have cables. It makes sense to have the bike in 2nd gear. Never thought of that. This is a great thread.
