Back in the 86 I had a Ninja 1000, with the right upgrades it was a insane piece of muscle with a top end nearing 200 MPH.

I have no business on a bike like that anymore, way to fast for my tired old body and reflexes.

Are they gay? Hop on one and then tell me how gay it is.

[QUOTE=Waterfreak66;658910]I'm with you Coot. I've had sooooo many different bikes, by all different manufacturers. Each one with its own pluses and minuses. I can tell you this. I don't really start to feel sore at all until about a 300 mile day. The Ninja really is quite comfortable. Then again, I got sore on my Goldwing after a while and I get sore after a while on my V-Rod. The only difference is that different muscles and joints get sore based on the different riding positions each bike has to offer.

Agreed, my first bike was a 1982 Kawasaki GPZ 550,very fast handled great and was pretty comfortable even back then and at the time I did a lot of riding in NYC and Brooklyn kinda miss it. Riding a fatboy lo these days very comfortable bike although I see a v rod in the near future

The japanese sport bikes are tremendously quick and fast. The 1000cc and bigger sport bikes have a speed limiter at 186mph. This started in about 2000/2001 time period. The 600cc sportbikes are pushing about 100 hp and the 1000cc sport bikes are at extremely we170-180 hp. The hypersport ie.. hayabusa, and ninja 1400 are at the 200 hp mark. The Hayabusa (2d generation) is super smooth at 60mph and just as smoothat 160mph. The ninja is every bit as smooth at 75mph. I'm pretty sure the 1999 Hayabusa still holds the record for the fastest stock (right off the assembly line and no mods) motorcycle.

For the 1000cc and larger bikes you can go from 0-60 in less than 3 seconds. If you can hang on. Everyone can call them what they want to call them. But they are built for one thing in mind, and they do it extremely well.
