Ninja
Yesterday while having my tires put on at the local Kawasaki dealer (HD dealer was backed up) I was talking to the guys there about the 1600cc Ninja. They say 200hp at less than 500lbs.it will turn 156mph in the quarter off the floor. Thy also say that the suspension is so good, 120mph is effortless. He also talked about some bike, (I forget the call sign), but he said it had a 100mph 1st. gear! I wouldn't trade my RK for anything but that is amazing to me. If I had one I'm afaid it would turn into me vs. Motorola and we all know how that usually ends.

Exactly what I kept my Ninja ZX-10R when I bought my V-Rod. The performance is just incredible and it's just too damn fun to ride, especially with a few mods like pipe and gearing changes. The V-Rod is a great, enjoyable cruiser. But it ain't no Ninja. Different bikes for different ways to enjoy the pleasure of motorcycling :-)

I can only imagine. The closest thing I ever had was a souped up KZ900 way back in the day. At the time I thought it was faster than the word of God. But absolutely no match for the new bikes!

Ya it will get there realy quick but after 200 miles straight lets see how sore you are when you get off of it vs. your RK.
I will take comfort over super fast any day of the week.

I've had three gsxr-1000s in the past, ('03, '05, '09). All were able to do 100 mph in first gear right off the showroom floor. The performance of all the modern sport bikes is absolutely incredible...

No doubt! That's why I said I wouldn't trade my RK for anything.

Every body is entitled to their opinion. Mine is, FAST is Fast. I don't care who makes it.

I'm with you Coot. I've had sooooo many different bikes, by all different manufacturers. Each one with its own pluses and minuses. I can tell you this. I don't really start to feel sore at all until about a 300 mile day. The Ninja really is quite comfortable. Then again, I got sore on my Goldwing after a while and I get sore after a while on my V-Rod. The only difference is that different muscles and joints get sore based on the different riding positions each bike has to offer.
