Fox Creek Gloves: Deerskin vs. Elk?

I have few questions about gloves..

I own a fox creek leather jacket and it is great, but was wondering if anyone had experience with their gloves?

Do they run small? How do I order the right size... do I just go to a local HD shop and try on gloves and order that size? One would think that sizes run slightly different from brand to brand.

Any feed back or info on Deer skin vs. Elk skin for riding?

I've got the Fox Creek elkskin gloves in XXL and I love them. This is my second pair. They've been wet several times and have yet to leave my hands black likes others have in the past. They're a little big but I like them that way. I don't like tight gloves.

I have a pair of their deerskin lined gauntlet gloves for cold weather wear. While they've not been worn near as much I have worn them down into the 30s with no issues. They have not been wet though.
