What would bring you into a dealer in the cold months??? Need serious feedback

I will post on this because I just got back from riding 250miles to a dealer in Arkansas.

I went to Bikes Blues and BBQ a few months ago. On the way back I stopped off at the dealership and bought my wifes pink label leather jacket and some other things. A month ago I recieved a check in the mail explaining why It was sent to me.
It was sent from the same dealership I bought all the stuff for my wife from and was dealer cash- "to be spent on anything inside the dealership or services they offer..... $75.00 - Little did I know but they always give 5% back to there customers for being loyal (besides purchases of new/used bikes). So before it expired I took a nice 500mile ride and went to spend my money, BS with the great staff, and rode back home. From now on guess where I will get my accessories from? All because that 5%, and let me tell u.... It adds up!

Well a lot of dealerships do something similar to the cash back it's just not advertised. Mine for example gives you a punch card you have punched at the time of purchase for every 50 bucks you get one punch.

250 bucks fills out a card and it's worth 25 bucks on anything in the store.

As a potential buyer,I love to come in and sit on new bikes without too much attention from the saleman. Trust me, when Im ready to buy Ill find the salesman.

I like the how to clinics. They cover basic maintainence and the service guys are willing to answer questions.

The basic how to clinic is a great idea. I really don't see it effecting the service the business if you keep as a basic clinic for little things like what to look for when you see this or what to expect when this happens. The monthly sales on parts and apperal if possible is a good idea if possible.

I have no idea where the OP is posting from but I live 1.5 hours from the closest dealer and there are about 4 between 1.5 & 2 hours away. The town I live in isn't that big but there are lots of Harley's and even more people that would be interested.

If it is slow at the dealer ship load up some bikes, new & used, some merch and head out for a Harley day in some smaller town/city that is near by but just far enough that it is a "trip" to get there. This would really work if it were tied in to some sort of festival that the town were having.

Bands, SALES, and a teleconference with the Moco HQ. Two big ass bashs in the dead of winter, nationwide.
