Had my ultra in cold storage last year: Cloth cover over it, battery out, on a lift with stabil in the gas tank. Rat traps and steel wool in the pipes. No problems.
I too have heard about the dryer sheets fyi...

I put my King to bed by adding fuel stabilizer, over inflating the tires a few pounds, rolled her up on mats and connecteded the battery tender....that's it. Don't start it up unless I know I have at least a 20 minute ride ahead of me (which probably won't come again until some time in April).

And I used flea collars to keep spiders off the boat. Sometimes it takes a while to find one big enough to wear the collar.

Just sayin'

BS. I've seen your Sta-bil dunktank in which you fully submerge and store Pricilla. I've also seen you sit in a Coleman folding chair beside the tank, enjoying a can of SeaFoam as you wait for winter to pass.

Talkin' like that will get me to smack one of you turds in the mouth.
Stabil will never make its way in my garage. I am a Seafoam man through and through.
Yes I may dip the bike in SF but that has nothing to do with winter. I do it all summer too.

JP
I quit using stabil when they changed the formulas y years ago a d could no longer use it on my boat (diesel).
Have been using it for over ten years on cars, boats and now the bike. I run in in the summer too, maybe every 3 rd tank and as soon as the temp drops into the 40's or less.

I swear to god I am not being a smart ass, I am not trying to play Devil's advocate and I am not judging anyone.
I have owned engine powered toys since I was 13. That's when I got my first go kart and my first bike. It is also when my father started teaching me to wrench and I have always done my own wrenching on the toys, I leave the DD's maintenance to the pros.
From chainsaws to boats and classic cars to my Priscilla, I have never done anything "special" for storage and have always been just fine.

I agree with this. The new stabil is formulated to neutralize the effects of ethanol in the gas.
