I went a couple times when it was in Rosemont.

It is very much worth it if you want to sit on and get the feel for different bikes.

I'm certainly thinking about going over there for an afternoon to check things out & if I do it'd be great to hang out with someone who knows what he's looking at/talking about. I know they want you to get tix way ahead of time but how necessary is that?

I'm not sure. I've never bought early before, but this is the first time at a new venue.
