Well, I don't really understand why it looks gay, unless everything we don't like automatically looks gay, but I would think if your seat was that uncomfortable you would buy a better seat designed for your bike that is comfortable for you and would look a lot better than that contraption..
I tend to try to stay away from anything where the words Butt and Buddy are connected
on the otherhand, I runa badlander on my fatty, basically a stretched solo seat. you can ride a passenger on it, but they don't appreciate it after very many miles, and since changing seats is such a pain (well not really, but I'm lazy) that contraption could be usefull if I wanted a tag-a-long and really gave a d@mn if they were comfy or not
It is for the passenger not me. I am fine with my seat, but when the wife is on the back, it gets uncomfotable after and hour or so. I like the idea cause it is removable when she's not riding with me. I'd love to go spend 3 or 4 hundred dollars on a custom seat, but that's not going to happen any time soon.
Have her buy her own seat...lol....I found for some weird reason they are never happy with the seat so now i ride solo took the rear pegs and bracket off done.

doesn't matter what it looks like if it's got an ass on it, after the ride take it off, no big deal, I'd want my lady to be comfy. really not hard to figure out.
I am trying like hell to get her on her own bike. No luck yet. I agree that she'll probably complain regardless of what seat I get. It's a bike not luxury car. But I figure at least if I try maybe she will shut up about it or maybe I can go back riding solo. I doubt it though, she loves riding.

I agree, don't waste ur hard earned $$$ on a add on, get a good seat and be done with it......Mustang...Danny Gray are 2 of the great ones...I run a Danny Gray.....
