Windshield

I have never owned, or even ridden a bike with a windshield and the used Sportster I recently bought has one. I love it- except for the film that has covered it. The fellow who owned it before me used only water soaked into one of those soft Turtle Wax applicators to clean the bug guts off it. The applicator does get the bugs off but that is about all. It really needs a good cleaning.
What is the best product to clean these things with- or do I just use Windex?

I've used water, or Windex, or spray detail wax, they all seem to work.
I've even put Rain-ex on it.

I use the Dollar General store imitation lemon pledge. Works great on windshields and gets bug guts off too.
Been using it.......all I ever used on the bike. Use on everything but rubber and leather...heck..it may work for that too.
Good Luck.........Pete
