CB Intercom HELP

I have a 2008 ultra, when ever I use the CB and the intercom, the intercom is broadcase to everyone. I talked to the dealer and they said it was in the settings, however they did not tell me what settings. If anyone out there has the answer I would appreciate it. Thank you

I don't know of too many folks that use the intercom. I use it for my wife and I but truthfully doesn't work as well as I'd like it. The vox system is designed to automatically transmit when you or your rider speak directly into the microphone and works good at speeds under 65 or so. You can adjust the squelch to accommodate for sensitivity but fails at higher speeds or very windy days as it just gets too noisy and then you're forced to adjust the settings (ie., it's either too sensitive or not enough). Unless you have a lot of time and know where your settings most likely will be for your ride and conditions, it requires that you adjust during your ride which can tend to be somewhat unsafe as it can be distracting while riding.

From what I've learned so far you can either do the CB or the intercom with music. With the intercom you can also listen to the music and it turns off during conversations. My advise would be to carefully read the instructions while sitting on the bike and just keep practicing. It is cool to be able to communicate while riding though... I don't know if this helps but at least you know some riders do use it.

Thanks all, actually got ht ebike in 09, and worked up until this year then retired. Now riding all the time. The issue I found out, is operator headspace error. Instead of setting the VOX, I was using the PTT switch for both the intercom and the CB. Not the way to ogo when riding with others. So when my other half and I are riding by ourselves we use the PTT, when we are riding with others we use the VOX for intercom and PTT for CB. I have never had an issue with not being able to hear on the intercom, either above or below 65. Anyway I appreciate the time you all took. I guess if I would have read the instructions I would not have had to ask. I try and do all my own work, and have the HD service manual. I can change all my fluids and plugs and tires without paying 85 dollars an hour!
