Intermittent miss 01 Sportster 883

Hey all,
I've been experiencing what seems to be an intermittent missing problem. It seems to happen most frequently in first and second gear, usually while I am in traffic. On occasion it will be accompanied by a pop out of the exhaust. When it happens, it feels like the engine turns off for a split second, and catches itself. Many times the front end dips a bit.

I am not positive, but it seems like it is more frequent in the beginning part of my rides. I have heard that carbed sportsters are a little cold blooded, but I wanted to see what other people had to say. Has anyone else experienced this? Are there any remedies?

Maybe ... leaking intake seals, faulty ignition switch, loose battery cables or a rotting positive cable, coil or coil wires, plugs or plug wires, etc. etc. Or a combination of the those.

With the bike running, wiggle the ignition switch and see if it shuts off or you can reproduce that miss.
