I'm a new Wide Glide owner.

I can tell you after 1100 miles this bike rides real nice. I know there have been negative comments on the bars but I really like them. I find that they put me in a very good position comfort wise. Only thing I changed was the foot pegs which I replaced with HD pegs that have the heel rests. I have also installed a quick release shield and quick release sissy bar and luggage rack.

My youngest son bought one. all black. Bike rides real nice. I didn't like the look on the web site, but at the dealership the bike looked much better. I enjoy riding the bike, when the kid gets off.

I also got one about 2 weeks ago and I've had over 600 great miles on it. I'm super comfortable on it and I'm a big dude at 6'6" and 330. My back doesn't hurt while riding it or anything. Only thing I've done ride wise was crank the preload up 2 notches and it rides beautifully.

In fact, reading the review posted in the link helped push me into getting one. So, I gotta give a quick thanks to Hawg Dawg for posting it up!

Loving the new Wide Glide

I bought the vivid black with flames back in August and recently had the 1k break in maintenance done. I now have 1200 + miles on it it and it is a very comfortable and capable ride! I can't wait to put a new exhaust on it, though. It just doesn't have that distinctive Harley growl, and I'm tired of women in cars talking on cell phones trying to run over me because they can't hear me.

Hi Tomsawyer, I like your bike as my son just bought one. Wish youd make a trip up to the New to the Community page and introduce yourself so we can give you a proper Welcome

If I get some decent weather I'll make a recording of my V&H Double Barrel exhaust for ya. I like the sound of it. It's not super loud like drag pipes, but it's not quiet either. It's just a bit quiet for MY tastes, but it has a great tone. I highly recommend them, especially if you're trying to retain a stock look for the pipes as they go back to the rear axle nut.

Edit: The V&H have better clearance for your feet as well. My boot would occasionally rub the front pipe now and then and these solved that issue as they're tucked in better.
