Well I have a Harley but I won't be buying a new one till they stop outsourcing their business to China or anywhere else outside of America. I lose much respect for them when I find the "Made in China" sticker sharing space with the HD logo. Loyalty is a two way street you corporate scumbags.

Don't be surprise to find out that 90% of what you own was made in china. Even if the label reads made in the U.S.A, bits and pieces are still from over seas.

HD has more than one approach here.

My local dealer in Europe used to sell maybe 2 or 3 Buells a year. He has 4 on the floor right now including an 1125R.

Harley have told him he has to take 11 Buells right now at full price or lose his Buell Servicing ticket and therefore let down all the owners he already sold to. That's about $80,000 cash they want out of him right now for bikes that are out of production and that will take him 4 or 5 years to shift, if ever

Given that the German dealers have been told the same thing, you will not be surprised at the response

Generally speaking, you don't die on motorcycles.

You die a few yards away from what's left of them.

Yes, I have had two bottles of wine. What the fukk is your problem

Amen I had one sold it then got a newer one and sold it. Bought a sporty. Buells were the best handling bikes that HD had. Sad day indeed the new HD president is probably a numbers guy and not a rider.

That sucks about Buell.

It is essentially true. The new CEO comes from automotive and facilities management supplier Johnson Controls. I read elsewhere he isn't a motorcycle rider. My guess is maybe he will give it a try?

Sounds like the pendulum has swung the other direction in Milwaukee.. from leadership passion to leadership pragmatism. The latter could be what the company needs at the moment.

Now with Buell disappearing from the HD Showrooms you can also say good bye to the Younger crowd who came in to the dealerships to look at them. Harley has a Huge problem with being seen as a OldMAns bikes ( and for good reason, Old Technology abounds most the lineup) and kids interested in Speed and technology dont really want to go out of their way to look at a Fatboy.
Nice pic of Syd in your avitar. "Shine on you crazy diamond!"

An american made sport bike was a good thing. I did think their life was going to be limited when they stopped using the sportster engine. Too bad though, diversity is a good thing. It actually increases your chances of survival.
