Police Brutality
Yesterday, I was on the freeway going to the nursing home, when a big Rotweiller ran in front of the car in front of me...He had no choice but to hit the dog, because there was a 18 wheeler in the lane next to him...We both pulled off to the side of the road cause the dog was still alive...I tried to read the tag on the dogs collar, but the dog was dazed and scared and kept trying to bite me...The guy that hit the dog ran to his trunk and wrapped some rags around his arm and was going to try and hold the dog down so I could read the phone no. on his tag....The dog was not bleeding anywhere from what I could see, just scared and probably had some broken bones..A state trooper pulled up and told us to get back, and pulled a pistol from his holster...I hollared at him to STOP cause I would call the owner, and the guy that hit the dog volunteered to bring the dog to the animal sheltar...The cop kept ordering us to stay back and shot the dog in the head...I took a picture of the cops license plate with my cell phone...Would any of yall report him??Wife said if I report em, everytime I leave the house I'll be pulled over for some bogus BS...

the dog may have died, even with treatment, but in my opinion, it "was not" the officers choice to make.....it would be the owners choice.....and those willing to assist the owner....the cop was out of line....IMHO

I wouldn't
I beleive a dude on another forum had to deal with the threat of being sued, by the owners, for hitting a loose dog on his bike...that damaged his bike.

ya gotta wonder , had it been a beagle or terrier or even a poodle.....the animals attitude woulda been the same whatever the breed.....call the news station and let them have it. just be aware that the reporter may want to interview you on camera, that should make the wife really happy

i think the public deserves to know the truth...right or wrong on the part of the L.E.O. toor's suggestion may be the best.....However, we dont know the reason behind the Officers actions.
he may very well have been instructed to carry out his actions from a superior, in that case, he can not be held to blame.
if it was his own choice, that is a different story all together...
a bit of to the point questioning would bring this truth to light....g
