I know guys stationed at Fort Hood that claim Iraq wasn't as bad as living at Fort Hood......

Dude, I was stationed there not too long ago! I know we called it "the hood" but damn. This makes me really sad.I know alot of people there and especially where this took place as my barracks where only a block away. I haven't gotten any phone calls yet so I'm not too sure what to think about my friends there, as in if they are ok or not. The wounded just went up to 20 and a General there just said 30. This seriously saddens me. Did anyone hear yet if the shooters were military or not?

Everything I saw is preliminary, Chris. One shooter in custody and one on the loose.
The chances that TWO soldiers being the shooters is at a minimumn, odd. However, the witnesses said the two were "Dressed as soldiers".
Sad indeed.

Damn! My 9 months duty there wasn't very enjoyable, but at least I volunteered for Vietnam to get out of there. Can't imagine why this has happened. |
