New to the community

I am new to the community. I've been riding off and on for over thirty years. Less a few during child raising years. I live 200 miles from Sturgis and have referred to it as my Mecca as I have been attending the rally most years since 1979.
My first ride on a Harley was in 1957 by an uncle that came to visit our family from Washington before interstates.
I have wanted a Harley for 50 years since that ride and was finally able to buy one2 years ago as a birthday present to myself. I have ridden hondas and yamahas for most years.
Was in a pretty bad crash in 84 and had the classical large gash in left leg groin area out to center of thigh. Came out of it ok and kept riding as soon as I got the bike back together.
Never as free a feeling in my life as touring on a motorcylcle and have the whole world in view.
Glad to be here and hope to get a few answers once in awhile as well as maybe give a few.
