New member. Ridden Harley's before but never owned one until now. Purchased 09 Road King in Sept. and I'm enjoying it immensely especially with the changes made to the frame, suspension, engine mounting, and the larger tires.

Too bad the Oct weather here in MN has been so crappy. Have not been able to get much riding in.

I did get enough miles in to have the 1,000 mile service performed. The second weekend in Oct., I rode from MN to Wisc Dells and back for the fall GL1800 riders get together. Used to own a 2001 GL1800, so I know a few of the guys. Was a cold weekend, 26 deg F when I left MN and mid 40's in the Dells. Never did warm up and I rode back in temps that did not get higher than 35 deg. Some of the wing riders couldn't believe I rode the RK that far in those kind of temps., and some of them were amazed at how well the bike handled the "alphabet" road twisties between LaCrosse and the Dells.

This Oct weather stinks and I don't see much improvement, so after getting the bike back from the 1000 mile service, I put it away for its winter nap.
