new to the foum

Looking forward to sharing information and stories regarding our mutual interest, Harleys. I have been riding a Harley Road King for the past 9 years and just this past spring purchased an '09 Road King Standard. Yes, the new frame and suspension does ride and handle better, especially when loaded up for a long trip.

On the performance side, I had the shop install Woods 606 cams, a power comander, Bubs true dual exhaust and dyno tune with a custom map. I am now getting 105 ft-lbs & 94 hp. This set up makes a nice difference, especially when loaded up.

I ride about 10k per year and normally take a 2 week+ trip plus several long weekend trips. Have a removable tour pak and just recently installed 10" mini apes.

I have just started a partial bob of my son's '98 sportster. Enjoying that all so important Father / Son time together. Will be installing 14" apes, spring mounted solo seat, bob the back fender, new lights, etc. Rear springs stay as we do an annual long weekend trip and the hardtail would likely curtail that event.

That is my story and look forward to being a part of this site.
