First Post
Hello -
I just bought a 2008 Sportster 1200N. This is my first Harley Davidson.
I rode minibikes & dirt bikes in the woods as a kid and started riding street when I turned 16 in the mid-80s ...but it has been about 9 years since my last motorcycle.
Been looking for a while & spent time on a Road King, Softtail & Superglide. Came close to buying my neighbor's shovelhead low rider... then I had the opportunity to ride a Sportster for a weekend over the summer and loved it.
Excited to get back out.
The motorcycle is completely stock with 950 miles. First step will be to ride it and put in some miles before winter starts.
Then - a seat. I will be looking for seat that can handle occasional 2up riding (around town mostly and maybe once or twice a season for 100-200 mile trip). I like the low profile look but comfort for passenger & rider matter more than looks - to me at least. I have been searching the internets about that and will post up any questions
