Forum Intro
Currently residing in Virginia. First ride in Del Rio, Texas on a 40's vintage flathead Indian in 1961. Bought my first HD in the late 60's - a 900 Sportster. Purchased a 48 Pan in 73 and rode it in various configurations from Rat to fully original restoration. Spent the 60's, 70's and 80's in Uncle Sam's Submarine Navy so riding happened during in port periods mostly in California. So much fun, I stayed around 26 years. Thought I would retire, but that didn't leave much money for the road so I went to work in the civilian community in 1990. The Pan finally retired and I bought a FLSTC in 2005. I ride to work daily and travel the highways on weekends now. Virginia is has very little organized biker activity so considering moving further south.
