Issues with Magnetti Marelli FI on my 1995 Harley Ultra Classic

Hello, I am hopeful someone in the forum will be able to help with this. I have a 1995 30th Anniversary edition ultraclassic. The Magnetti Morelli FI has developed the following problem:
After letting the bike warm up for about 5 minutes, when accelerating through about 2500 to 3000 RPM the bike sputters and spits, and sometimes quites running. It acts like its not getting enough fuel. If I can get it past 3000RPM the bike runs good. Prior to me obtaining the bike it had set in the previous owners garage for about three years, only being started occasionally.
I will welcome any suggestions, and I have zero experience with this FI system. Thank you.

The '95 was the first year with EFI. Does your bike have different exhaust and air cleaner installed ?
