New Harley owner from Wisconsin

Hi all,

I am a first time Harley Davidson owner, or will be on 11-7-12 when I pick up my new 1200 sporty.
Have been rideing a 08 Kawasaki 500 since 08 and decided to step up to a bigger bike.

I know its late in the rideing season and my new bike wont gat many miles on it this year as we had our first snow today.
Will be looking forward to next spring when the roads are ice and sand free so I can get the sporty out and enjoy it.

Wow!, did not realize this site was so politicaly one sided, or at least it seems that way when reading through the Off Topic section, WOW!.

Glad I decided to look around for a while.
Probly should not have posted a question in the winter storage thread in the sporty section, but nothing I can do about that now except hope I dont get jumped on for asking what might be a overly simple question to those who have been around Harleys far longer than the whole entier 5 days I have been.

I ride with a group of guys, and not all of us ride Harleys (I will be next spring) and we actualy never discussed how we store our bikes, we kid each other about rice grinders versus Harleys.
But next spring at our first ride, they will be suprised when I show up and they have a bag of rice to toss under my bike and claim its leaking.
