Again with the Attack of the Law Hordes? Sheesh.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here and say that there is something to be said for keeping control of your product. Let's face it, this is the age of lawsuits. If the "Fat Bob's Harley Bar" hosts an event and someone gets stabbed, do you think a personal injury lawyer would hesitate to include the MoCo in the suit? Hells no. After all, it has the company's name on it, therefore they endorse it, therefore they're liable. You don't have to be right to win money in court these days.

But as far as the argument that we should be left alone because we're supporting the company, I'll say this: Harley-Davidson is a huge corporation. They retain several tons of lawyer specifically for this sort of thing.

I'm just saying, just because you love bears, don't be surprised when it acts like a bear and eat you if it gets the chance.

Sadly, it doesnt surpise me at all, the MoCo seems at ease when "borrowing" the monikers of other outfits, and using them in their own products. Some patch clubs have even gone so far as to copyright their patches, names, and other intellectual property in order to deflect such abuse by aftermarket suppliers, as well as the MoCo.
So the hypocracy of it all must cleanly escape them. This trouble began when the MoCo went public, and now the shareholders, and accountants, not the customers tell them what they will do. I have been riding the brand for 40 years now, but I do believe that next time I go looking for a bike, it'll be a Victory.

Oh geez Groovy, dat means dat soon our beloved milwaukee-ese language will go down da dumper too eh.you know eh, dat here, over by da lake dere aye, we's guys jus' love how we's talks, now you say Hurley Furgussen is gonna make us stop? oh geez what we gonna do now eh? Dis is jus' turribul. I'd like to gi'em a piece a my mind one time eh.:Note to readers: The forgoing was an accurate phonetic representation of the local dialect known as Milwaukee-ese. so should you observe such script on cetain products, you'll know they "borrowed" that too.

I believe it would be terrifying to a big corporation to have its public be able to compare notes

as we have seen we are constantly be barraged by innaccurate info from local dealers

these site enable us to pcik and choose what we belive to be true

having an enabled clientelle may cost them money

And Money is what its always about
