Crash shatters family | Toronto & GTA | News | Toronto Sun

This incident is not related to me, but I have seen too many families destroyed by drinking and driving.

A 21 year old kid driving a BMW, drunk at 124 miles an hour..... There's more then just DUI here that'a a problem. We're raising kids to be irresponsible little punks that think of nothing but themselves, and then when something like this happens, want the courts to treat them like kids, feel sorry for them, and cut them a deal.

I'm hoping junior gets no deal, other then whether he wants to be the husband or the wife, on a nightly basis.

Nothing could be more devestating then wiping out an entire family, because you're too stupid to drive sober, or safely.

And the BMW driver, a 21-year-old man who was already known to traffic cops, was left with minor injuries -- so minor that he was taxied into the Traffic Services police station late yesterday afternoon.

This is aggravated circumstances, and any District Attorney with a shread of decency would look at Murder charges, rather then lesser traffic offenses..... With as much gross negligence as was indicated in the article, it wouldn't be hard to convince a jury......

Couldn't agree with ya more Dave.

There is a judge in Quebec, who was to sentence a drunk driver to life, for killing a woman in a wheelchair. The sad part on this one is it was the drivers 19th fugging offence.

Nothing angers me more than drunk drivers.

Fry the punk, both my kids are in the fire service, they see it all the time. It sucks the drunk is the one who always survives and walks away.

I agree,

As a paramedic over here in the UK I see too much of this.

It always seems to be the @$$hole that caused it that walks away without a scratch! Just last night I had to help cut a dead girl out of a car after her boyfriend got loaded and rolled it! You'll be happy to hear that he's ok.

A vehicle should be considered a lethal weapon. You kill someone with it, they take away your lisence and lock you up. Simple. People seem to think its their god given right to drive and give no thought to the responsibilities they're taking on when they get behind a wheel.

Sorry for the rant. sh!t like this really pisses me off.

irresponability, Not to mention how many are goin to get it by texting. I cant wait till somebody sues the phone Co and the state for allowing texting over an injury from texting. Something has to be done!!!!. I live in my mirrows at stop lights.
