Winter and what to do?

My riding season is jest about over. And then its 4-5 months of sh*t. Whats a brother to do in all that down time. My bikes go in storage, tight needing nothing. I do spend some of the time planning and charting my next seasons 5 weeks of vacation and 2 wheeled destinations(I am heading to the west coast next September). But the winter is really difficult not being able to ride. I know I'll spend some time arguing over on another multi bike forum with the metric bike guys(and thats always fun).

It's going to be tough. Since I just got my bike a few months ago I'm looking into the storage at a local dealer for the winter.

I do know that with a whole week of rain not riding was like quitting smoking. I kept going out to the garage thinking "it's not raining too hard..." but I didn't take it out. I think it's best if it's not in my garage over the winter or every nice day I'll be out there again thinking "it's above 20 today, maybe just a short ride....".

Ya, season is coming to a close. It was down to 40 here in Maryland today. I wrapped up and motored on into work. I may last a couple of more weeks, but when we start seeing the mid 30s Maryland tends to have a lot of black ice. I don't need to skate down the highway on my side.. I kinda like having my skin stay on my body. I have a laundry list of mods to do, but I'll only get to that as money permits. So, it will be a long winter for me too. Not to mention I absolutely hate cold weather.. the Army ruined that for me.

Well as I see it there are only two things you should do. Transplant yourself to someplace warmer or git urself a case of burbon, a blanket and go Hibernate for the next few months!

Not sure what I would do if i didn't live in Oklahoma. There are literally only about 10 days or so you can't ride here as long as you don't mind a little rain.
