I agree.
I finished the forms and I am at the stage of waiting for the decision letter to come. I noticed that on every form, there was a "paperwork reduction act of ...." I couldn't imagine what it would have been like before that.....

I finally got an attourney,I could not understand what they were wanting from Me in all them papers.I have gone through all the steps and am now waiting to see a law judge on the second of November.
The Dr. put on My return to work,Light duty with a lot of stipulations and would not take into account all the other injuries and pains I was dealing with so with that return to work statement the SSDI says I can work. Finally went in to see a rheumatologist that has diagnosed Me with Fibromialgia{spelling}and severe inflammation in all joints and the attourney say`s it should be a go from here.
I try to ride the Harley whenever I can but if a man is hurting so bad all He can do is about 3 to 5 miles in a season then You know something is the matter.
Hope this does`nt make Me a "poser".

Letter came in just awhile ago..... denied......
I figured..... I called the lady at the SS office, she is sending me everything for the appeal.....
If it doesn't work this time, I'll have to work hurt/sick.....
Unless I can convince my wife she's doing a great job.......

Get an attourney, when my mom went thru it, took about a yaer and a half, after her first denial, she got an attourney, no up front fees. but when they get you approved, you get a check for backpayment for the amount your monthly is....all the way back to the date you first applied. Her attourney got 20% of her backpay check.

I got it the first time around, *BUT*, I had an attorney who does only disability stuff. Still took 3 and a half years before a decision...that was the hardest thing to do...wait and live off my dad and sister for those 3 and a half years. I'd got so depressed after about 2 and a half, I was constantly sitting at my desk staring at my Colt .45 for hours on end wonderin' if I could hold out any longer without eating the barrel. Mom tried to keep my dogs from me and my brother came to say he'll *try* to talk her into letting me have 1 of the 3...I pulled the Colt on him, stuck it between his eyes a foot from his face and told him if he said another word he'd die. We haven't talked now for about 7 years.
Just stick with it, whatever you do. Seems family is the first to screw you over, but hang in there, eventually you'll get it and get a check for the 2 or 3 years you been waiting, and yes, the lawyer get's a percentage of the backpay check.
Good luck man!

Yea hook up with a good attorney, Wife got a former SS Judge got it on the first appeal. Wouldnt even try to go in there and represent myself cause they will jack you around. A lawyer knows whats bullshit and wont put up with it.

Man, it's just lawyers helping other lawyers out. There shouldn't be any reason to have to give em 20% of the money you are due. That sounds like one of the biggest scams going. But life being what it it, you gotta play the game. Good luck.
