Oh, many people agree with you. But as I learned in fighting our state's helmet law, we are always a part of society even when we don't care.
For example, in my area there is a serious discussion on cracking down on loud pipes. Many bikers state, "Who cares what a bunch of whiners think?"
Well, 'whiners' vote.
Like it or not we are going to live and work along side people with differing attitudes. In fact we judge people in this same manner!
This past weekend an impromtu discussion of America broke out in our road clothes section.
While every word was a true and factual comment, the conversation was laced with words like, socialism, idiots, Kenyans, clueless, communists, liberals, "fall of America" and a racist word I'm not allowed to type.
We care, they care.
I'll bet easy money that when I quietly ride my bikes through my neighborhood using my lawful rights, I tick off a dozen people that might vote and put a leash on you.
Well, if you don't, then I don't give a shit. You won't be able to hear your EPA approved pipes from under that new helmet anyway.
Federal laws already mandate manditory noise levels, and soon, the Feds will also mandate that ALL riders will wear helmets, if they get their way.
The fight is bigger then just your State level, my friend.....
