What oil should i pick up for my sportster
IVE GOT an 03 sportster 1200 classic no manuel and i need to do an oil change. ive used 20w50 in my streetglide is this oil grade good for the sportster gear and primary as well ?

I moved your post to the oil section, although, the primary is different for a sporty then a BT model.
Use the search function. Words like "Primary" and "Oil*" (include the little ditty as 3 word requests won't work) and you'll find hours of reading, for your entertainment and lubrication knowledge.
There's been countless threads regarding the "best" oil to use, which is subjective, at best, depending on who you ask.
I usually reply "Baby" only because it's fun to watch them squeeze the babies, to get the oil.

Sort of hi jacking the thread.............
Wonder how many miles a v twin will ride with B.O. in the tank?
its like the equivalent of 5- 10 wt?
There is prob someone out there reading this goin Huh- that guys crazy- isn't he?

B.O. is considered to be in the 5w-20 family, unless it has poo in it, from accidental over-squeeezing.....
Then it's more like a straight 30wt........

did the bike come with reg oil, or syn, was it changed to syn, some people went to syn in evo's , eng, primary & tran.
