Power Commander V or V & H FuelPak
Going to install Vance & Hines Monster Ovals on my 09 Ultra Classic and I'm in debate as to what fuel management system would be the best to use. Along with the MO's I'm considering the V & H Power Duals pipes. (See Exhaust Section) I'm also going to install the Screamin Eagle Stage 1 Air Cleaner. This will be the extent of any future engine mods. I'm presently looking at the Power Commander V and the Vance & Hines FuelPak. Thanx.....

I just talked to Power Commander today, they said with all my motor work they do not have any maps to work with my setup, so I am sticking with a Race Tuner. Just my .02 cents, As far as pipes, a dealer told me today to leave the stock headers on with my Rush mufflers and not to put true dual headers on.

I am looking to do the same on my 09 RKC and have read that it is best to stay with the V&H Fuel Pak if you go with the V&H pipes and slip on. I have also read that you should not use the Screaming eagle intake with the V&H system. The Fuel Pak sounds right to me, it was designed for their exhaust but not so sure on the intake.

Talk to HD about your warranty before doing anything (if you care about it). The PC might void it.

I agree on the V&H Fuel Pak and slip-ons, but I'm curious as to why the Screaming Eagle intake is not a good idea. I've been told not all high flow air cleaners were created equal. Another thing I read was the V&H Power Dual pipes did not perform as well as stock pipes when run on the dyno. There was a noticable torque loss over stock.

Yeah that could be an issue. I do know my dealer sells alot of V&H Fuel Paks and exhaust systems on bikes right off the show room floor. I understand they'll warranty it if they install it. This is one reason I'm considering running stock pipes as if I was to have a major problem I could take the Monster Ovals, Fuel Pak and air cleaner off easily. Got another year of warranty to go.

you can do almost anything you want to your bike without voiding your warranty ! The only way that modifying your bike will void your warranty is if your bike breaks as a result of your mod ! For instance if you put aftert market pipes on your bike and as a result an oil line overheats and melts down as a result of the pipe install then yes that particular part of your warranty is void ! However if you install new pipes and lets say your ecm shorts out your bike is still coverec by warranty unless the pipes were the direct cause of the ecm short ! Hope this is helpful to everyone !!

PC or fuel pack. I would go with a SE super tuner before those 2 and you have a better chance on keeping your warranty.
