Big Sucker ?

I have a new one of these that was given to me for a big twin and the instructions show a different backing plate & bolts for '06 and newer. I have an '06 and everything seems to fit fine. The difference appears to be in the crankcase venting. newer ones seem to have grooves instead of a hole drilled through the support. Any drawbacks to using it?

i dont think there would be, on dads 06 we just cut the back platic thing out and used a new k&n filter and bam big sucker lol....

Well, they are different. I just tried bolting it up and no luck. I ordered the correct backing plate from Ness and will be selling this one off. Thanks for the quick reply.
