How much performance?

My question is, how much reliable performance can you get from re-working the stock heads and cylinders? Is it comparable to what you can get SE 103or110. I know I would have to change cams, pistons aect. Is it cheaper to just buy SE kits?

Thanks, LT

Depends on who you get to port your heads. A reputable porter can get stock heads to perform better than SE off the shelf heads.

What he said.

Plus the right cam/valve choice, and then the talent doing the tuning.

There is such a thing as 'bad head' and it will leave you with less performance than a stock motor.
