Intake ! Install HD breather kit or Hypercharger. My 03 Softtail Standard went from 64HP to 92HP by changing pipes, breather and rejetting carb.

Yep I agree with Hawkmann. Ride it like ya stole it. I know we all like our own bikes to be personalized but that'll be subjective from rider to rider. Ride ride ride. It'll come to you what ya want to do to it.

The new K&N RK series is a bigger custom filter that is supposed to add 12 HP and uses the stock breather cover. is this the best way to go or is there a better filter to run? also i'm wanting to go with a mikuni carb, should it wait to do the air filter at the same time?

Don't waste ur money on a Hypercharger, had one on my 05 softail, was like a detuning job compared to the Screamin' Eagle intake..I have an Arlen Ness Sidesucker..WOW, what a difference ....
