Cancer didnt get this one ....so far

Well I didnt know where to put this or if I should put this in. I just got operated on for prostrate cancer ,they removed it. I still have a week to go before I get the catheter removed. But the other day I was sitteing here in pain and watched the wild hogs again. I know some will say lame movie but it isnt the point. Being 56 retired and life is running on the short side got to think that I should do something like those guys did...just do something before life passes me by and I cant. I and from just north of pittsburgh Pa. Am I just blowing smoke or should I try to make plans to ride. My ridding buddys have no adventure.. great for the day ride or a overnighter but that is it . Anyone interested...

I live in Monroeville pa, just 2 exits over on the turnpike. I have 33 days vacation this year. My buddies and I always go on a 9 day ride in the summer. Last year it was to New Orleans, year before that Nova Scotia, year before that Memphis. When you heal drop me a line.

Hell ya! If your health is good and you feel up to it you will regret it if you don't. I'm just east of Jeannette/Greensburg area. Let me know. We're planning a Blue Ridge Pkwy run this summer. Good luck.

IMHO, The long rides are the only good rides. Solo if ya have to. Might be better, at your own pace, stop where you want however long you want. No freakin mileage maniac hollerin we gotta be in Fallbrook by noon BS.

EG... Will pray the "procedure" took care of it. Plan the long ride. They are my most memorable versus goin down the same road again, and again. See sights. Visit family. Visit friends. Take many pictures. Return and enjoy your retirement, then plan another trip for another day. If you make it to Colorado would be pleased to show you around.
