Modular Helmet
Looking for a good modular helmet, any recommendations?
I need one that has small shell => hate when my head looks like mushroom

I'm looking for a modular helmet also, unfortunately, I have an Arai shaped head and they don't make a modular...
HJC's give me nasty forehead burn, ditto with Nolans and Shoeis.
Vega's come the closest to being comfortable, but I'm leery of their plastic latching mechanism.

Check the rating on the helmet.. look for a Snell rating of M2005 or M2010, Snell ratings are the toughest test for helmets, and any helmet testing that is done by Snell, the manufacture has to volunteer their lids for testing in order to get a Snell rating..
DOT ratings dont mean nuthin.. its a worthless "rating", a lot of lids that have a DOT rating tag on them, even though they FAILED TESTING while being tested by the DOT.. just more worthless waste of OUR money and time from those need to be tied to a light pole in front of their offices in DC and horse whipped by "WE the people"..
All that DOT sticker/tag in a helmet means is that it was tested by DOT, it does not mean it passed.. if it sounds to stupid to be true, remember its a Govt. "rating" system.

i bought a nolan n102, nice, but pricey and a lot of wind noise. Wife bought an HJC, which is what I would buy if I had to do it again.

I have a KBC that I like. They are one of the manufacturers for Harley helmets.

Thanks guys for the inputs. This would shrink my searching list
I'll check each of these helmets and I'll update you on my decision soon
If there is anymore option, please keep posting...

One thing to think about is where the chin strap comes through the cheek pads. I use the head set for the radio on my Ultra and the chin strap on my HJC CL-Max Modular causes the speakers to set higher than normal on my ears. This gets a little uncomfortable on all day rides.
On the other hand, it's a relatively quiet helmet and the latching mechanism seems to be very positive.
