What's long, hard and full of seamen?

I've only been in the sub thats at the Baltimore, MD inner harbor: USS Torsk. The thought of spending a 2 week to 30 day period in one of those isn't a bit appealing to me....

USS Torsk (SS-423) history

This one was bigger than I thought once we went in but I'll agree. Way to freakin small. This one has a deisel generator system for top side running and went full electric when underwater. The though of the batteries dying would've drove me crazy...

(Here's what NathanG looks like walking on eggshells...)

Say Lord Facn8me,

I can't imagine there being a time your fine lady is feeling down or needing an ego boost,

but if there ever is such a time, PLEASE FEEL FREE to post her pictures here, and in return,

I'm sure our good forum mates will try mightily to be gentlemen, and keep the drooling civil.

I hope I can say she is Sweet.

OH yeah SUBMARINES! (forgot for a minute..)

I worked for a guy who spent MONTHS underwater in nuclear subs,

he said they had a standard demo to freak out the noobies.

They would stretch a rope tight across the width of the hull

so they had to duck under it on the surface,

just to demonstrate the pressure involved at depth,

when the rope was so slack they could step over it,

due to compression of the hull.
