Back from Sturgis

Well i used my two weeks leave from Iraq to go to Sturgis, had a pretty good time. It took me and the little lady three days to get there from Ft Bragg NC. Stopped in STL the first night and stayed with friends. Day two stayed with her family in Huron SD, near Sioux Falls. Day three we arrived and set up camp at the "HOG Heaven" camp ground near the Gypsy race track and hill climb. Maybe a 5 min drive to main street. Nice clean, quiet place with its own band every night. We spent everyday riding and seeing the sites. Went and saw one concert at the buffalo chip, saving able and Aerosmith. Had a weather delay for Aerosmith but they stilled played until they blew the speakers and then Steven Tyler fell off the stage. The rest of the week we saw everything we had planned and towards the end off the week we went to Buddas tattoo on maun street and got tattoos. Same day we were heading to the full throttle saloon and it looked like rain so we swapped the bikes out for the truck and got caught in a 15 min tennis ball size hail storm that caused $7300 worth of damage to my truck. Its being fixed now and will be done before i get back from Iraq and is only costing me $100!
The rain jackets came in handy as it rained at least once a day.
Over all it was a great trip and i really enjoyed my first time to Sturgis.

Back from Sturgis

Gotta ditto the great time in Sturgis! Had an awesome ride from Oklahoma City to Ogden, Ut. for the annual Gathering of the Guard of the Patriot Guard Riders. Spent 3 days there partyin with brothers and sisters from all over. Then it was on to Sturgis. Met up with my oldest son in Casper and we rode on in and set up camp at Shade Valley. Really nice little out of the way campground a few miles east of the Chip. Good little beer garden, nice bar and good food. Did some major riding seein all the sights in the Black Hills! Took one night just sittin around at our camp with my son catchin up over a 12 pack and a bottle of Jack! Can't wait til next year!!!
