After my trip last month with my bud Mac, the Ol' Lady said she wanted to try a road trip. We headed out Friday and went through Bay Mills MI to Paradise MI. Its 50 miles of beautiful highway along Lake Superior, and then north on M123 north to Newberry back to M28 to head west to Marquette MI. The wife spent her fist 170 miles on the "pad" in a beautiful sunny day. I have to say, for her first highway trip, I found the perfect passenger. Woke up Saturday and stopped in Bald Eagle HD. and met Jed, the service manager, who mapped out a perfect ride from there. (the staff refer to him as a personal tour guide.) Left Marquette about 10am and heaed west to Houghton where you cross a bridge into Hancock, the start of the Keweenaw Peninsula. This place has absolutely beautiful riding. We rode both 26 and 41. We got back to Marquette about 7:30pm, after prolly the best day of riding I have ever had. Sunday left Marquette and headed south on 41 to 2 and west through Manistique, along lake Michigan. Headed north through Blaney Park to 28 and home.
A few pionts.
- The weather was perfect, sunny and next to no wind.
- When in Marquette check out the Brentwood Motor Inn, very nice rooms, cheap rates. ( ask for your Harley discount

)
- If you ever have the chance to ride the Keweenaw Peninsula,
DO NOT pass it up.
- Stop in and see Jed, get your ride map of the Peninsula.
- Not one complaint from my passenger, and she rode like a champ through many twistys, and 775 miles. (it was her idea for the extended trip home along Lake MI.)
