Sick day ride

Got up and looked at the weather today and saw it was supposed to get into the 60s here in southern ohio, and come down with the can't see my a$$ going to work today flu...So I called off and started riding. Made a right outta my drivway then a left at the end of the lane. After a couple back roads ended up on st rt 32 going to Cinncinnati. Saw rt 68 and decided to go south after a slight detour I got back onto 68 and continued south to Maysville Ky where I saw a sign Blue Lick Battelfield State Park 25 miles and off I went. Not really much to see there this time of the year but I did get a couple pics of my bike in front of the Pioneer Musem. So back to the road I went. Rode back to Ohio and took the Ohio River Scenic Rt 52 into Portsmouth then followed 23N back to a couple old country roads I know to home. Nice little250 mile ride. Can't waite till Saturday supposed to be in the 70s here.

Sounds great. Those spur of the moment trips are pretty cool.

Maybe next time take a camera with you and post some pics.

Excellent Metalwolf. Reminds of a weekend in January several years ago when I was stuck in a Cincinnati hotel room so hopped in the rental car and drove to Maysville, crossed the Ohio River, and ended up at the Blue Lick Battlefield State Park! If I recall correctly it was a battle after the Revolutionary War had ended, and I think Daniel Boone's son died in that battle? Thought it was a pretty and scenic place.

I should have had the flu today. Low 60s and sunny here. Of course, tomorrow's forecast is for 40s and rain.

actually got to 72 today. Was going to call in sick, but my boss is an ass and would have fired me, lol. Oh well, I busted ass, got alot of work done, and still got almost 95 miles on the bike. Plus my lil bro got home from work early today so was able to ride with him for a while, first time since he got his bike. So awesome to see my lil bro gettin a Sporty, then bein able to ride with him.
