White Mountains,NH
Thursday me and a friend hit the rode at 6:30AM running on I-91 north in Vermont. Followed that to St. Johnsbury,VT and picked up 2 East through Lancaster, Jefferson, the Presidential mt range and to Gorham,NH. In Gorham we took 16 south through Conway,NH. On the way to Conway or after Conway (I forget) we came to the Mt Washington Auto rode. They wouldn't let us on because of 70 mph winds at the top. Darn! Any who we followed stayed on 16 south until W. Ossipee,NH where we caught rt 25 and followed that into Meredith,NH and the Laconia HD. My riding partner was riding a 1994 Kawasaki Voyager (a very nice touring bike) but really wants a Ultra. So I convinced him to see a salesman and test ride the '09 Ultra. Which he loved. I wish I could say that he rode the rest of the way home on his new purchase, he did not. he did dance the dance with the saleman, who was no pressure and user friendly. Being a married man yuo know you don't just come home with a 20,000$ purchase and stayed married. He's working on it and hopefully soon will convert. He really wants the Ultra. After the time at the dealership we headed out on rt 104 to rt 4 in Danvers,NH and back onto I-91 South and home. We got home about 4:30-5:00PM. What a great day. We took our time, enjoying the scenery, taking pictures of the mountains here and there. Stopping at some of the better looking mom and pop places for breakfast, lunch and supper. I'd say we stopped every 75 miles (+-) sometmes less, to look around and see stuff.
We had the road to ourselves. Thursday everyone's in school or working. Minimum to no traffic the whole day.
We put on about 300 miles and seen some outstanding scenery. The Presedentials are some of the most spectacular mountains. There is still large amounts of snow left on them too. I took photos but it is on one of those disposables. Will share when I get them developed.

Only problem is between when school lets out and school lets back in it sux up there. Best time is like now through middle of June and then in September when school starts again. Summer its a traffic knarl and oh the hummanity. We had the roads to ourself for the most part. Minimum to no traffic. And it was mid to upper 80's too!

Badinfluence....
Badassbrutus, myself and a few friends will be up your way for Laconia, in a few 2.5 weeks. Look for us.....we'll be riding Harelys and wearing black t-shirts.....
Seriously.....can't wait to see and camp out in your neck of the woods.

I live about 1 hour 20 minutes from Laconia. I am heading to Nova Scotia June 17-23, bike week is June 13-21st. So our paths will no cross. If there is anything I can help you with now, let me know. I will be here Sunday-Tuesday of that week.
When are you going to be in the area?

We'll be rolling in June 12 and be there through the 13th. Might stay an extra day. Unsure.....
Camping is at a campsite up 106 a ways. We're primarily hitting up the Greasebag event and relaxing for the weekend, vs the bikeweek crowd, although I want to see Weir's Beach.

Sounds like a nice day trip. too bad about the Auto Road.
Four of us are headed up to Mt Washington in two weeks. Sure
hope the wind is a little more moderate. We're only going to be there one day, so there's no chance for a second chance.
Riding up on Friday, riding Mt Washington on Saturday, riding home on Sunday.
