Getting through NY

Anyone got a good suggestion on the fastest, best, easiest way to get through NY? I will be coming from CT ( 20 south of Waterbury ) and I want to pick up 78 and ride past Allentown. I figure the parkway to the Hutch but then after that I am not sure?

287 to I-78...... 78 merges with 309, through Allentown.

Cos,

Another choice

Port Chester - 287 to Garden State, I think 8 tolls to I-78 but shorter than staying on 287.

I wish you well on your trip,

Al

Avoid any and all routes that take you through any of the 5 boroughs as the roads are awful with potholes that could swallow a wheel.

Correct. 84 to 209, to 248, to 145, and 145-s takes you through Allentown.

oops, "Garden State Parkway" in NJ is the toll road, not 287 or 78.
