California Highway 1

Hey all,

My son and I will be traveling to San Francisco at the end of July, we were wondering what highway 1 (Shoreline highway) is like between where you access it (Leggett, Ca) and Stinson Beach, my son will be on an XL1200 and should be fine, just a bit concerned about fuel issues as he'll more than likely need to stop every 100 miles or so....it looks like the stretch I'm talking about is about 200 miles long, is this gonna be an issue? or should we skip this and take Highway 101 instead?

Make sure you fill up in Garberville. From there to Ft. Bragg is only 66 miles. Stay on 1 and you will find lots of gas along the way.

I travelled it in a car. It is not to be missed. One of my favorite roads in the country. Have fun!

You are talkin' about gas aren't you? I heard Gaberville is the weed capital of California! Be careful out there!
