My Laconia 09

So the weather report said 40% of rain for Monday. I figured that meant 60% chance of no rain! I only able to convince 1 other guy that my new math was feasible, over 10 people bailed on me. No biggie, riding in the rain isnt for everybody. Just outside of Concord, the rain started. lol I should be a *#&# weatherman. The rain let up a lil after we got off 93, but never really stopped.

Stopped first at Hart's, next door to Laconia HD. Parked right on the side of Hart's, no waiting for a table. It was by far the quietest I've seen it there, obviously due to the shitty weather. After lunch strolled the vendor area and then headed to the Broken Spoke for the annual t-shirt and beer. Even in the rain, the beer tasted great. Maybe it was the economy or maybe the weather, but there werent nearly as many vendors as I remember in years past, at least up the hill from the Spoke.

After that we stopped at Weir's Beach and walked around some more. Had one more beer, until we return next year. The ride home was half in the rain and half out. All in all, I had a blast. Just nice to see so many other bikes/bikers out. And I think I'm gonna stay overnight next year, would love to do the town at night.

I'll split one with you. I'm not waking up after 2" of rain again, with half of it running through my tent. Having a hotel room doesn't make you a candy-ass. Trailerng your bike there, THEN staying in a hotel room, makes one a candy-ass.

Saw plenty of trailers from NY and even MA, rolling into Laconia.......

I thought it was Bike Week, not Trailer Week...........

Thanks Dave I feel better now. No stinkin trailers for me. 3/4's of the fun is the riding. Really these events are more of an excuse to ride then checking out the event itself.

On my recent Americade trip we spent one day at the event and 5 days riding.
