Reelfoot Lake, Tennessee

Anyone familiar with the area? A buddy I served with in the Marines and I are meeting there to kick off the our yearly trip. Looking for a clean tent camping location that is biker friendly. Not that it will turn into a Rally, just some places get a case of the a** when you roll in with loud bikes.

It is not often you don't find someone on this Forum who can help. Give it a few days, as not everyone logs on everyday. Thank you for your service to our Country.

Some beautiful country there, very very very protected area, mainly hikeing and fishing, I dont know about loud bikes in the park, but it is beautiful. Call the state park and ask, but with all the bird watchers there I bet you aint goin to get a red carpet welcome on a Harley, lol

Thats true Drum Dog, members here are very helpful I will give it some more time... XDixiecratX good point about the being a protected area. I did talk to someone that actually lived in the area for a while but was no help with camping areas. He did say however that it is very out of the way and that it might not be the best place for bikers to visit. Hard to get in and out of was his words. We are planning to run the entire Natchez Trace and was looking at a place to meet for the first night. I guess since he is coming down from Kansas City we might look harder at Paducah KY. I think he just wanted to check Reelfoot out as he is a big time duck and goose hunter. Any ideas ?

I am about 80 miles or so from there and ride with my loud pipes all over the area. You will see lots of bikers there with loud pipes. There Lots of places to stay there and you will be very welcome there. When you get there Go west to Union City,Tn. to Abernathy's Harley Davidson super nice place and people it is only 20 minutes west of Reelfoot Lake. Lots nice local people that ride their harley's all around that area. Was just up there 2 weeks ago on a poker run.
Also stop in at Boyette's an eat while your there if you can find a place to park with the rest of the bikers......lol.

PS If he likes Goose and Duck Hunting it is a must to stop there in Samburg Right on the waterfront is Duck Hunters Heaven. The State Camp ground is right in the middle of it. No Worrys I promise you Will want to come back time and time again.
