RoadTrip to OCC

Tried to ride up to OCC today but my pops bike didnt feel like making the trip I guess and about 15 miles into the ride coming off of an exit the bike just backfired and stalled, refusing to start up again. Spent about 5 hours roadside checking every fuse and connection on the bike to no avail. His 07 Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 is still under warranty so we called my uncle George who brought us a pickup truck with a couple of 2x6's and a 3x8 sheet of 3/4 plywood.

I called a buddy of mine (Big Daddy) the four of us loaded it on the back of the truck and brought it to the dealer. Pops drove home in the pickup and I rode home. Total of about 30 miles.

You know, it was one of the best rides I have ever been on.

PS I'm not knocking anyone but I just find it funny that this is the second Japanese bike to fail on a road trip in a couple of months while my hog is running strong.

Lemme know the next time you head that way Ed. I believe Orange county is only a short distance over the PA border, outside of Milford, PA.
