I used to work with this guy, just found out he as embarked on a ride of a life time....riding a BMW R1200GS Adventure. He has taken a year off work to do this. That's awesome.
I've always wanted to ride down to the tip of south america from the states, not too keen on doing it alone though. I'd feel a bit better having someone around that I knew when I ran out of gas.

I heard that there're patches of the Panamerican Highway that are pretty rough... Wondering if anyone has done it all the way to Ushuaia in a Harley...?
